- US Visa Waiver Program - electronic Travel Authorisation — The US Government have announced new measures that require ALL travellers wishing to use the Visa Waiver Porogram to register at least 72 hours in advance of travel and receive an electronic 'Travel Authorisation'priot to departure. Although the scheme will operate on a voluntary basis from August 2008, they will become CPMPULSORY FOR ALL TRAVELLERS with effect 12 January 2009.
